our response, both corporate and personal to God-
for who He is and what He has done!
Here at Calvary Baptist Church we believe that Worship is not only a necessity in a believer's life, but that Worship is a way of life. Scripture supports this thought in Romans 12:1
"Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship."
Worship is so much more than just coming to church and going through the every week routine of coming to church. Worship is responding to Jesus because He took our place on Calvary's cross, He took on the wrath of God for all of mankind so that we could have fellowship with the Father. How can we hear this truth and not live a life or worship and sacrifice everyday.
We have Sunday morning worship services at 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM where we corporately gather to reflect on who the Lord is and what He has has done for us. We also take this time to thank Him for all the many blessings He has given each and every one of us, and especially thank Him for demonstrating His love for us by giving up His one and only Son Jesus on our behalf. We have a "blended" worship service, we do half contemporary songs and half traditional and hymnal. We have a live band that leads us every Sunday morning accompanied with piano and organ. We try to cater to everyones needs while all the same we are still praising the name of Jesus !!!
Here at Calvary we believe we offer our people many ways and opportunities to respond to the King Jesus through worship. Anyone can join the choir, praise team, (if they have a musical talent) men's ensemble, women's ensemble, Youth praise team, children's choir/sign language, or join our Senior Adults "Young at Heart Singers" as they sing at Burns nursing home every third Tuesday from
10:30 -11:30 AM !!!
Celebration Choir
The Celebration Choir is a choir consisting of all age groups. Our purpose is to bring glory and honor to our Lord and Risen Savior, Jesus Christ. We all share a love for music and enjoy sharing our song with the world. Come join us as we sing praises to the Lord. We meet every Sunday at 5:00 PM
for rehearsal.
