Outreach Ministry
Here at Calvary we believe that is important to carry out the Great Commission and we have challenged our member with the call of Acts 1:8:
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
Therefore, it is important that our members and our staff together realize that we have a Jerusalem to reach for the Glory of Jesus. We have several ministries in place to do this.
1. The first Monday and Tuesday of every month at 6:00 PM those who feel led to carry out this particular calling in their lives are asked to join us as we visit our members, new visitors, or future prospects as our GO Visitation team gathers to reach Russellville, Alabama for Jesus Christ. We have two teams, a "G" team that goes out on Monday's and an "O" team that goes out on Tuesday's.
2. Another way that our church tries to reach our community with the Gospel and love of Jesus is through the Faith Mission Outreach downtown. The Faith Mission is open every Thursday from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM. If anyone would like to serve with us on Thursdays feel free to come and join us reach our community for Jesus. The Faith Mission will be a place where the church can be an extension to those who are in need. We will supply clothing, canned foods, and house ware items to the needy.
** If anyone would like to make donations to the Faith Mission Outreach please contact our secretary at Calvary 356.332.8361, also if you want to give clothing, furniture, or any other household items we would certainly be thankful for donation and make sure they get to someone in Need. **
If you would like to donate or give canned foods, clothing items, or even furniture please contact our church and we will make sure that it is given and provided by means of the Faith Mission.... We want to give as Christ has given to us, and the Faith Mission is just another opportunity for the children of God to be the hands and feet of Jesus in everything we do.
